July 4th weekend proved no independence for the Bell family. We were quite dependent actually on a 20 page instruction booklet and the team of hard laborers willing to construct our mammoth "Sky Fort" swingset for Canaan and Macy! The parental Bells were troopers, not only to provide the kids with this dream playland, but also to spend their 4-day holiday weekend putting it together. It took 5 adults 4 days to complete the beast. We tilled land, scattered soil, and exhausted our bodies in the summer sun. Thanks to our neighbor, Rissa, we had lemonade and a homemade chocolate chip cake that was our main source of nutrition until our other neighbor and friend, Eleanor, and her family came down for a pot-luck buffet fit for kings. Mac and I would still be working on it now if it weren't for Mimi, Pop and Aunt Beck.

What Fun!!! Wow, I can't wait to bring the boys over for a play day. It is long over due. Love and miss you friend!!
